I've spent the day very quietly, tidying up my tip of a room mainly. And doing filing. Lots of filing. I've taken all the crap out of my schoolbag, holepunched it and put it in a file, never to resurface again (probably). Then I made thank you cards for friend B (for doing my i-pod) and aunt L (for giving me my i-pod). And I spent ages on them, so they'd better appreciate it. Gosh, how dull today has been.

*coughs and hacks*

I hate being sick.

So, Monday, I was convinced I was developing flu. I was geting a sore throat, losing my voice etc. Had a rehearsal after school, during which we encountered a dilemma to do with L being about a foot taller than me. And a bit wider too. When I got home I got a call from F reminding me that we were going to see Green Day that evening. Which, of course, I'd completely forgotten. In spite of the whole ill thing, I pulled myself together, put on make-up that made me look like Robert E Smith (lots of eyeliner and dark lipstick, wild hair), and off we went (me, F, C, F's Dad). Had a great time. Billie-Joe Armstrong is such a little pixie! We were on the balcony, which is kinda far away, but I still managed to catch 4 bits of confetti. Basically, they're total showmen. They know exactly how to play to an audience, what they want, and how to give it to them. Including a guitar, in one case. When I tried to scream, it came out as a kind of croak, and by the time the gig was over I could only speak in a very low voice.

On Tuesday I took the morning off school, and stayed in bed, then went in just after lunchtime. Had a very good art lesson, in spite of being ill, and then a rehearsal after school during which we sorted the dilemma. I should have gone to bed as soon as I got home, but instead I didn't. A (my cousin, T's Godfather) came round and gave T some really nice gouache paints that I may have to steal. Eventually I did go to bed, where I proceeded to stay until last night.

I read a lot of Lemony Snicket, drew a lot, wrote a bit, listened to the radio and my i-pod (on which I now have 547 songs, I think).

This morning I went boot shopping with F. We got her some nice boots

I saw a fillum last night called 'House of Games'. Very strange. Either all the acting and iinternal logic was crap, or it was 'stylised'. Plus, the woman had really short hair and a very square jawline, which is a bad look. Add shoulder pads and... ouch. But, it had the guy who does the voice of Fat Tony in it, so it's not all bad. He gets shot.

diamonds are forevaaaaaah

I am in school. We are having a themed mufti day, for the Tsunami appeal. I am wearing:

Dark green wellies
Bright green shiny tights
Very short denim shorts
yellow and black three-quarter-length sleeved bodice (fitted)
See-through silk jacket, dark turqoise, very very thin
Old hobo gloves (yellow, fingerless, full of holes)
Amber necklace
dark greenish gold eyeshadow, mascara, black eyeliner, sparkly blue eyeliner
dark pink lipstick
wildly messy hair

Earlier, a girl looked at me then fell down the stairs. How I laughed.

*annoyed grunt*

I want to link to blogs from this page, to make life easier for myself, but I cannot for the life of me work out how. They make it so easy on livejournal... Anyone want to help? Please? *puppydog eyes*

Anyway.

I know it sounds pretentious, and I'm only 15, but I've decided to start thinking about working on a script for a tv show, about what I know (ie, life at a london secondary school). Won't get anywhere, but it's good practice for writing skillz. So I'm looking through all my old posts on deadjournal. Holy shit. I'm very glad I wasn't particularly teenyboppery, but it is bad. Still, useful material.

I think I might make it in the kind of style of a blog. And alienate most people. Hmm. obviously this needs some thought.

I started blogging in 2002. That's 3 years ago. Woah.

to go.

Chemistry was easy. Had to point at a picture of a Bunsen burner etc. went straight from there to Oxford street, and the Vidal Sassoon school of Hairdressing. Got my hair done by a nice Japanese student, veryvery short. Her equally Japanese teacher, if less short, hovered about in a reassuring way, and they played that No Doubt album three times in the time I was there. Now, that's a good album, but it was a bit much. I was there for 3 and a quarter hours.

Basically, I love the result. It's kinda bobby, longer and flicky at the front, and shorter and layered at the back. I think it's a bit like Louise Brooksonly a bit longer, and without a fringe, but my brother says I look like Sebastian, from Little Britain. All depends on your point of view, I spose. It's too short to tie back, anyway.

And, spreading the word...

January 27th is the birthday of Lewis Carroll, author of ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND.
Alice fell down a rabbit hole into a place where everything had changed and none of the rules could be counted on to apply anymore. I say, let's do the same: January 27th, 2005 should be the First Annual LiveJournal Rabbit Hole Day. When you post on that Thursday, instead of the normal daily life and work and news and politics, write about the strange new world you have found yourself in for the day, with its strange new life and work and news and politics. Are your pets talking back at you now? Has your child suddenly grown to full adulthood? Does everyone at work think you're someone else now? Did Bush step down from the White House to become a pro-circuit tap-dancer? Did Zoroastrian missionaries show up on your doorstep with literature in 3-D? Have you been placed under house arrest by bizarre insectoid women wielding clubs made of lunchmeat?

to go.

Just got out of my French oral. Mme Martin is so nice! I kept getting words wrong, and she kept telling me the right one. Anyway, I got 34/50, which is an A, so very happy with that. She also told me I got an A* for my listening.

0.0

Last time I did a listening I got an E. Step up much?

The relief from having done it combined with the whole A* thing has put me on such a high. I feel giddy. I was so nervous beforehand. I had the bit of Commercial for Levi that goes 'And if you don't change your situation, then you'll die, you'll die, you'll die, don't die.' playing in my head. Which is very good, but doesn't help the whole nervous thing.

RS was ok, I think I've got quite a good mark. Biology could have been better. The others are still in Spanish. I'm so glad I didn't do Spanish. I've decided to wait for them. That way I have someone to go home with, and also someone to tell about the A* thing.I don't think you realise what a big deal this is for me.

A*. In French. LISTENING. That's normally my worst mark. Ok, I'll stop squeeing now.

Random 6th former behind me: 'Mr Winters, I can really smell weed.'
Mr Winters: 'Well it's not me! I've never done such stuff in my life.'
